Friday 20th November 2009

• Marske United complete the signing of midfielder John Seaton. Seaton is a New Marske lad and was released in the summer by Carlisle United. He has since been playing for Whitby Town.

Tuesday 10th November 2009

• Sunday 15th November 2009 sees a friendly match at Mount Pleasant between The Mayor's XI and Redcar British Legion XI in aid of the Poppy Appeal 2009. Tickets are £2 and the match kicks-off at 2.30pm. Come and give your support to our Armed Forces!!!

• Marske drawn at home to Stokesley on 31 January 2010 in the North Riding Senior Cup

Thursday 5th November 2009

• Marske have captured the signing of experienced goalscorer Danny Brunskill from Whitby Town. 'Bruno' started his career with Marske United before enjoying spells with North Shields, Bishop Auckland, Durham City and Whitby Town. He is eligible to play in the FA Vase, and is fit to be included in Saturday's squad for our trip to Birtley Town.

Friday 16th October 2009

• Richie Ward has signed from West Auckland and is included in the squad for 17th October North Shields game. He is an excellent addition to our defence.

Wednesday 7th October 2009

• Steve Cochrane signs for West Auckland.

Monday 5th October 2009

• Marske drawn away to Newcastle Benfield of NL Division 1 in the FA Vase, to be played November 14th, 2009

Tuesday 29th September

• Marske United midfielder Steve Cochrane has been put on the transfer list at his own request. Any interested clubs should contact club secretary Les Holtby on 01642 475612, or get in touch with team manager Paul Burton

Tuesday 22nd September 2009

• United have captured the signature of highly rated forward Tom Raw from Whitby. Billy Park Chairman said " this is a great signing for the club and shows our intent. Tom had other opportunities elsewhere before signing for us. The manager is looking to strengthen in other areas and hopefully other signings will follow soon. "

Wednesday 9th September 2009

• Marske sign former youngster Rob Jones:

  Rob is an ex -Marske junior who has had a successful spell in the Wearside League with New Marske. Billy Park Chairman said " Rob is an excellent addition to the squad who will give us something different. " Rob will be available for this Saturdays game at home to promotion chasers Whitehaven.

Thursday 3rd September 2009

• Marske United are once again supporting an initiative to raise funds for the Mike Findley MND Fund. They are having a raffle that includes a first prize of tickets to see Middlesbrough .v. Derby on Tuesday 20th October 2009 with transport to and from the game 'locally' including meal and drinks in the Fenton Lounge and seats in the West Stand. There are 2 runners up prizes of £100 cash and 2 Marske United season tickets. Raffle tickets are £20 but only 100 maximum will be sold . Billy Park Chairman said " We are very proud of our record of supporting local charities and in particular Mikes MND fund. This is a tremendous prize and with only a limited number of tickets being sold people have a great opportunity of winning it ". • Marske United sign Michael Wade. The club this morning made the signing of forward Michael Wade who played for Nunthorpe Athletic last season. Wadey is a hard working player who was the fourth highest scorer in the top division of the Teesside League last season with 16 goals.
