Defence

Daniel Dixon

Goalkeeper. New signing. Danny spent three seasons as Thornaby's 1st choice keeper before spending last season at Billingham Synthonia.

Andy Raw (Rawsy)

Signed in 2008 from Spennymoor Town, Andy has previous UniBond League experience with Whitby Town. Cool and composed on the ball.

 

Mark Taylor (Talla)

Big strong player who returned to the club in 2006 after spending four years at Dunston where he won two Northern League titles. Composed on the ball and good in the air. Team Captain.

 

Anthony Roberts (Basher)

In his 6th season at the club having played for Northallerton Town and Nunthorpe Athletic. Can play in goal as well as being a very good, hard working outfield player.

 

Dominic Gamble (Dom)

A top quality left back who likes to overlap and get forward. Previously with Nunthorpe Ath, Northallerton Town and Billingham Synth. Players player of the year last season.

Mitchell Morris

Young defender with great technical ability, signed this summer following his release from Middlesbrough Academy.

Lee Donachie

Quality composed defender signed this summer from Billingham Town.

 

 

Simon Kasanali (Kas)

Massively experienced player with 500+ appearances for the club. Returned to the club after 6 years away. Now part of the coaching staff.

 

Midfield

Josh Myers (Josh)

A quality composed player who can also operate in midfield.  Josh has graduated through the clubs successful junior team, whom he captained every season. The club have big expectations of Josh for the future.

John Seaton (Seats)

Signed last year from Whitby Town.  A local lad, John will be looking to prove himself after previously spending time at Carlisle United.

 

Anthony Ormerod

Former professional with Middlesbrough FC and Scarborough, Anth has a wealth of experience having spent the past 7 seasons with Whitby Town.

 

Levi Earl

 

 

 

 

Derek Bradley (Decker)

In his 3rd season with the club having joined from Peterlee. Likes to get forward and help the front men and chips in with his fair share of goals.

 

Adam Gell

Quality new signing previously with Guisborough and Seaham. Massively hard working playmaker.

 

 

Micky Dalton

Signed from Billingham Town

 

 

Dale Mendum

Signed this season having spent the last year with Stokesley and Teesside Athletic. A tricky left footer with an eye for goal.

 

 

Lewis Wood (Woody)

After being released by Middlesbrough, Lewis had a season with Morecombe before spending the back end of last season at Thornaby.

Owen Dixon (Owen)

A hot prospect for the club having progressed from the junior team. Owen has bags of pace and plenty of skill, and has made a very good start to his senior career.

Andy Swalwell (Swally)

One of the best midfielder players in the area, Andy is a brilliant passer of the ball and is good on set pieces. He has played for Middlesbrough, Billingham Town and Northallerton.

 

Tom Raw (Tom)

Signed last season having spent five seasons at Whitby Town.  A pacey winger who can also play up front, Tom will be a great addition to the squad when he gains full fitness following a lengthy injury.

 

Attack

 

Benn Thompson (Thommo)

In his third spell at the club. A big strong centre forward who won the Northern League during his time with Dunston and is a proven goal scorer. Top scorer last 2 seasons.

 

Danny Brunskill (Bruno)

Returned to the club last season, an ex-junior. A big strong left footed striker who played for North Shields, Bishop Auckland, Spennymoor, Durham City and Whitby Town.

 

Rob Jones (Rob)

Progressed through the juniors before playing for Carlin How, New Marske and Whitby Town.  A skilful player with bags of pace. Supporters player of the year last season.
